Tony Milo Tony Milo was named Executive Director of the Colorado Contractors Association in April 2005. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Association and particularly enjoys working on legislation to advance and protect Colorado’s infrastructure industry. Prior to joining CCA, Tony was Executive Director of the Michigan Road Builders Association and has accumulated more than 20 years of experience representing the infrastructure construction industry through work for major trade Associations including the Highway Users Federation, Michigan Manufacturers Association, and Michigan Asphalt Paving Association. Tony earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from James Madison College of Michigan State University and a Master of Management degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tony enjoys playing golf, a great glass of wine, traveling, and hiking, and he is a diehard Michigan State Spartans fan. Of all his accomplishments, Tony is most proud of his two wonderful kids, Alex and Tommy. More About the Speakers
Nyssa Beach Nyssa Beach is a Resident Engineer for the Colorado Department of Transportation Region 1 South Program with 17 years of experience working on transportation and bridge projects from planning, conceptual, design, construction, and long-term asset management. Additionally, as the Region 1 Bridge Asset Manager, Nyssa works with CDOT Staff Bridge on Bridge Preventative Maintenance projects throughout the Denver Metro area.
Matt MacLachlan Matt is the Director of the Transportation Implementation Division within DOTI. In this role, he leads a team of nearly 60 professionals with a focus on transportation project delivery. Matt has been with the City and County of Denver for over 11 years, after spending 16 years in the private sector. While the early part of his career was focused on bridge and structural design, he expanded to manage projects and teams for a variety of project types including roadway improvements, trails and underpasses, traffic signals, bike lanes, intersection safety improvements, and more. Matt is a proud alumni of the University of Michigan after growing up in western Michigan.
Bill Poole Bill Poole is DEN’s Senior Vice President for Planning & Design. In this role since 2015, he is responsible for airside, landside, terminal, and regional planning; architectural design review; space planning; signage and wayfinding; and GIS throughout DEN’s 53 square miles of land and more than 8 million square feet of facilities. Prior to this role, he had a long career as a consultant providing planning services to airports across the nation and internationally. He began his career at DEN in 1995, just a few months after the airport opened.
Jessica Myklebust, LEED-AP Jessica is a leader and strategic collaborator in the transportation industry. With over 25 years of experience as a transportation professional, she has developed a passion for sustainability, reliability and environmental consciousness in multimodal transportation infrastructure projects. In her current role as Region 1 Transportation Director, she leads a team of 750 individuals in all aspects of transportation delivery including: public transportation planning and budgeting, engineering design and construction, business administration and professional highway maintainers. Jessica’s experience brings valuable insight and experience in leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure projects. As a community leader, she provides career exploration opportunities for young women and other women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She regularly serves as a mentor for others in the industry, and is always impressed by the talent pool of our future workforce. Jessica is a first generation college graduate with an undergraduate from CU Denver and masters degree from the University of Denver. She and her husband are both Colorado natives raising the next generation of natives with her 11 year old twin boys. She spent the first 17 years of her career in consulting and the last 6 years working at CDOT where she finds incredible satisfaction being a public servant working in Region 1 to build a reliable and resilient transportation network for the citizens of Colorado.
