Event Co-Host:

It's only natural to think of Colorado Springs when talking about the state's significant federal programs and installations.

SMPS will be hosting April's Federal Luncheon on the US Air Force Academy's campus at the Falcon Club. We'll welcome a panel of local federal leaders to the stage to discuss the evolving landscape of military affairs combined with community growth. Panelists will speak to the needs they’re experiencing in the market, anticipated infrastructure funding and projects planned for the future. Whether you're a long-time contractor for the military or just starting to break in, you'll leave this program with information on where the money is coming from, where it's going, and how to get involved. This will also be a great opportunity to connect with influential actors and decision makers in the space.

Before or after our event, there are several unique sites to visit at the Air Force Academy. The first item is a one minute drive from the Falcon Club, our luncheon location. The Air Force Academy has a self-guided tour web page for other wonderful ideas.

A few important items:

  • Give yourself up to five to 10 minutes to get through the gate. It could be a quick process, but allow for a little time. It’s worth it!
  • Driver’s license, registration and insurance must be up-to-date. The front gate will ask for valid photo ID and may ask to view the back of your vehicle via the trunk door. For more information, see Getting On Base.
  • Carefully look at speed limits. They range from the 20s to the 40s. Nothing 50 or over!
  • The cadet area is off limits. The housing area is off limits. In-hand cell phone usage while driving is off limits. Taking your time and enjoying the amazing beauty is IN LIMITS!
  • The chapel does not allow for visitors. You can view the construction site from outside the closed perimeter. Parking for visitors is allowed by Arnold Hall and the planetarium. Arnold Hall has a Starbucks.
