 Adobe Bootcamp

A/E/C Intermediate-Level InDesign Training PLUS Photoshop and Illustrator Mini-Sessions

Julie Shaffer with Shaffer Creative, who presented at the SMPS Southwest Regional Conference in 2019, is back in Colorado to lead an immersive, A/E/C specific bootcamp on Adobe Creative Suite. You will take away new tips and tricks that will save you time and stress in proposal development, while enhancing your company’s project submissions to the next level. After spending 20 years in the A/E/C industry, she truly understands the headaches that marketers run into while developing winning proposals. The morning will deep-dive into InDesign, covering content beyond the basics. This session is not for the InDesign beginner. Julie will present content that assumes basic understanding of the program and jump right to sharing efficiency tricks, such as a One-Click Resume, CC Libraries, Scripts, and Cells and Tables. Following lunch, the afternoon will cover the other crucial Adobe Creative Suite programs, for creating content in Photoshop and Illustrator that will heighten the photos and graphics of a proposal. The value you will take away from this bootcamp is unparalleled, with Julie being a recognized expert in the world of InDesign and Adobe programs.

Light snacks will be provided in the morning and a full lunch will be provided at noon. Coffee, tea, and water will be available throughout the day.

Testimonials for Julie
“I attended the session “Visualize Your Content: Turn your firm’s messages into compelling infographics” at the 2019 Southwest Regional Conference. There was extra time, so Julie Shaffer presented some InDesign shortcuts and tips for developing specific proposal elements we use every day. For example, she demonstrated a quick organizational chart using an excel spreadsheet list of information along with grids and script tools. The example shortcuts provided in just 30 minutes were extremely helpful. I am looking forward to her half day training session in March!” – Cara Perlman, Proposal Lead, Merrick & Company

“Julie’s training session at the Southwest Regional Conference was amazing! Her breakout session focused on turning your firm’s messages into compelling infographics and it was by far the quickest and most helpful hour-and-a-half ever! She shared several useful tips and tricks for upping your infographic game in brochures, proposals, etc. All of us could not believe how much time the tips and tricks could save us (especially when working on tight deadlines) and I could not wait to share what I learned with the rest of my marketing team! I’m really looking forward to Julie’s sessions on InDesign (Intermediate to Advanced focus) and Photoshop/Illustrator (Beginner) at the SMPS Colorado Chapter Bootcamp this March.” – Morgan Zavertnik, Senior Marketing and Proposal Coordinator, Catamount Constructors, Inc.
