Anyone Can Cook: Lessons from Ratatouille for Business Development
Thursday, February 19, 2026, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM MST
Category: Education – Virtual

In the Pixar film Ratatouille, a rat becomes a chef, a novice learns the basics, and a critic becomes a believer, all due to the phrase “anyone can cook.” Together, we will take this same philosophy and apply it to business development. Drawing from Pixar’s storytelling and Carol Dweck’s Mindset, we’ll show how BD isn’t just for the extroverted or principals- it’s a teachable process. Through the lens of Remy (hidden talent), Linguine (growth), Colette (mentorship), and Critic Anton Ego (transformation), attendees will learn how to develop BD skills in themselves and how to coach, mentor, and empower others to do the same. Together we can get the whole team cooking!

Participants will learn:

  • How the “anyone can cook” philosophy applies to business development
  • Why a growth mindset is essential for BD success
  • Practical strategies to build confidence and capability in BD
  • How to identify and nurture hidden BD talent within teams (including yourself)
