The SMPS Colorado Senior Leadership Roundtable is a collaborative peer group of senior marketing and business development leaders intended to foster a support forum for SMPS members who may be facing similar career and business challenges. By bringing together accomplished leaders, we aim to create an environment conducive to valuable conversations on leadership experiences and the qualities that define successful leaders in the A/E/C industry. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into lessons learned, share best practices and challenges, and engage in discussions that go beyond the surface, all within a safe and confidential space. This roundtable promises to be an enriching platform for senior professionals to connect, reflect, and gain insights from others who have navigated similar paths in marketing and business development roles within the A/E/C industry.

To participate in the Senior Leadership Roundtable, we ask the following:

• Active SMPS Colorado membership
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience AND/OR leadership positions at firm

July’s session will focus solely on people leadership:
The act of leading relationships in different cultures and environments to create high-performing and collaborative teams that will come together to work as one on a shared goal. We will split the conversation into two main topics:

1. Managing an employee or team of marketing, business development, or communications professionals.
2. “Managing up” or being a leader as a sole contributor to your firm’s marketing, business development, and communications efforts.

To foster an environment conducive to fair and collaborative conversations, we are limiting registrations to 18 participants. We will ask participants to submit discussion topics prior to the first roundtable event and will rotate every 15 minutes to tackle as many topics as possible. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The Senior Leadership Roundtable will be held on a quarterly basis, with registration available to SMPS members for each individual session. We encourage our participants to maximize their involvement by attending as many sessions as their schedules allow to foster genuine connections among attendees.
