Joy has provided the direction, guidance, and leadership for multiple marketing and business development teams across the United States. Throughout her career, she has developed and executed marketing and business development strategies to support corporate goals for growth. Goal-driven with attention to detail, Joy has a comprehensive, responsive, and efficient approach to business development. Joy manages and supports strategic planning, capture planning, and internal staff training for firms ranging in employee size from 25 to more than 14,000. She is a Fellow of SMPS and has served in volunteer leadership positions for the American Public Works Association (APWA) and Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). Misty Thurman, FSMPS, CPSM Growing up on the family farm taught Misty many lessons she has applied throughout her 25-year career. Her dad expanded the family holdings by starting an earthwork construction business in 1973. Entrepreneurship is in her DNA. Misty specializes in brand and reputation management as well as business development and client engagement strategy. As a project leader, she excels combining technical skills with strategic planning to productively communicate information and successfully execute marketing and business development goals. She is tenacious about building and leading teams to success. Misty’s experience in the A/E/C industry includes leadership roles for a large mechanical and electrical subcontractor as well as construction, architectural and engineering firms. This breadth of multi-disciplinary experience is enhanced Misty’s business acumen. And, when combined with her passion for creativity and problem solving, she drives results that are informed and inspired.
