How will the infrastructure bill change A/E/C in Colorado? The $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill touches so many critical systems—roads and bridges, passenger and freight railways, waterways, mass transit, ports and airports, the water supply, and even broadband access—that it can be hard to wrap your head around its potential impact. The bill represents a historic investment in our nation’s infrastructure, as well as a tremendous opportunity for Colorado’s A/E/C industry. To help us better understand the full scope and impact of the bill, SMPS Colorado has assembled a virtual panel of industry professionals who will share their insights into the bill, in particular the types of projects it will support, and offer their thoughts on how attendees can take advantage of this once-in-a-generation opportunity. The panel will also discuss the impacts of Senate Bill 260 (Sustainability of the Transportation System) and the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap. Learning Objectives:

He is currently vice-chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus and chairs their committee on Housing, Hunger and Homelessness. He is a member of the DRCOG and the Mile High Flood District boards of directors.
Johnny brings a wide range of perspectives on the infrastructure bill. He provides an engineer’s perspective as the Colorado Director of Transportation and Operations with Horrocks Engineers, a locality’s perspective as the recently elected to Greeley City Council, a unique understanding of transportation funding as the President of MOVE Colorado, and the DOT’s perspective as he was Deputy Director of CDOT where he worked for almost 30 years. It is safe to say that Johnny is a Transportation guy.
Tim is the lead engineer for transportation for Collins Engineers. Tim has worked for a number of engineering firms as well as the Senior Engineer and Director of Development Engineering for Mesa County.
