Speaker Bio:

Lisa Bachman, APR
Principal at Bachman PR

Lisa Bachman, APR is a Principal of Bachman PR in Colorado Springs. Her public relations expertise is in construction, travel/tourism, healthcare, and real estate development. Lisa’s clients include CDOT, RTA Architects, the City of Fort Collins and the City of Englewood.

Her passion for PR began when she worked at the U.S. Air Force Academy, telling the story of the Academy’s first classes of women graduates to a global and national audiences. She was Founder and President of the Penmark Group Public Relations in Houston, TX working in the space industry. Lisa was Vice President of PRACO which is now Vladimir Jones, achieving statewide and national recognition. Lisa is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Downtown Partnership, Colorado Springs, Council of Neighbors and Organizations Board Chair and the Colorado Springs Chamber and Economic Development Council. Lisa holds a BA in Communications and Public Relations (Magna Cum Laude) from Wright State University. Lisa is Accredited in Public Relations.

 
 

U.S. Army Col. (Ret.) Andrew Mutter
Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8 (Denver)

Andrew Mutter is the Director of the Office of Communication and Public Involvement at U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 8 office in Denver, Colorado. In his role, he oversees a team of 18 communication professionals and the Region’s communication mission across 6 states (Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota) and 27 Tribal Nations. Andrew provides essential expertise for advocating and implementing effective communication, outreach and public involvement to advance EPA’s mission.

Andrew is also an Army combat veteran with over 27 years of service to our nation. He served in a variety of command and staff assignments around the globe as an infantry and public affairs officer, including Europe, Korea, Iraq, and Kuwait. He retired from active-duty in September 2015 as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Defense’s Defense Media Activity located at Fort Meade, Md. Prior to joining the EPA, he served as a senior program manager at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington D.C.

 

 

Christy McGee, APR
Director of Communications at Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8

Christy McGee, APR is the Director of Communications at Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8, a small, exurban school district south of Colorado Springs serving the City of Fountain and the Fort Carson Army installation. Christy leads the internal and external communications, community outreach and partnership, events, and website management of the district. Prior to that, Christy spent over nine years acquiring a deep knowledge of school communications working for Mesa County Valley School District 51 in Grand Junction, CO. There, she managed local media on a daily basis and strengthened the large district’s internal communications strategies.

Over the past 12 years, Christy has been a member and served on leadership teams for local and statewide communication associations, including the Colorado School Public Relations Association and the Pikes Peak chapter of PRSA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Sociology from Regis University. Christy is Accredited in Public Relations.
