What does Fort Collins' New Building Energy Scoring Initiative mean for Northern Colorado?

Fort Collins Utilities has proposed a building energy scoring requirement to its City Council, similar to 26 Cities across the US including Denver and Boulder. Energy benchmarking, scoring and transparency provides a beneficial tools in helping owners, property managers, and tenants to establish a baseline for tracking and identifying opportunities to reduce energy-related costs, and allow the market an opportunity to value energy efficiency by differentiating high performing buildings.
