Eat, drink, and socialize at SMPS Northern Colorado’s biggest event of the year! An exciting panel of speakers will talk and walk you through CSU’s successes in integrating solar power onto its campus. Come celebrate sustainability with a group of fellow A/E/C professionals and have the chance to talk directly with panelists from CSU, City of Fort Collins’ ClimateWise program, and Namaste Solar. Be sure to wear good walking shoes for the tour!

Speakers

Carol J. Dollard, PE, CWP, LEED® AP, Colorado State University

Carol Dollard is an Energy Engineer in Facilities and co-chair of the Presidents Sustainability Committee at Colorado State University.  In her 18+ years at CSU, she has helped make University operations more sustainable.  These efforts include: 14 PV installations totaling over 6,700 kW, 2 LEED Platinum and 19 LEED Gold buildings, and over $10 million of energy and water efficiency projects.  In addition, she leads a team that conducts the University’s annual greenhouse gas inventory and produces biannual updates to the CSU Climate Action Plan.

 

Stacey Baumgarn, Colorado State University

Stacey Baumgarn is the Campus Energy Coordinator for Colorado State University. Stacey is responsible for energy, water, and resource conservation education and outreach. Stacey works with university stakeholders, faculty, staff and students on most sustainability related projects under the facilities management umbrella. Stacey has worked in energy conservation for the past eight years. Stacey is a LEED Green Associate, and maintains ISSP-CSP, APPA-EFP, and IFMA-SFP. 

 

Wendy Serour, ClimateWise

Wendy Serour manages business outreach and communications for Fort Collins Utilities including coordination of the City’s ClimateWise program.  She develops partnerships within the Fort Collins community and provides a variety of support to Utilities’ customers with an emphasis on electric and water conservation to help decrease operational costs. 

Wendy graduated from Buffalo State College with a B.S. in Graphic Design. She has over 20 years of design, marketing and public relations experience in the Fort Collins community and is passionate about sustainability as well as continued education about the built environment. She is Green Building Certified through Colorado State University’s Institute for the Built Environment.

 

Nick Williamson, Namasté Solar

With over nine years in the solar industry, Nick Williamson has a wide range of experience from residential sales to utility scale project management. In 2015, he served as the project manager for a solar project at Colorado State University installing 1.2 MW of rooftop solar across the campus. In his present role as Namasté Solar’s Pre-Construction Manager, Nick oversees estimating, operational feasibility, and procurement on projects ranging from commercial rooftops to small utility-scale projects across the country. Nick received his BA in Economics from Hamden-Sydney College in 2001 and his Masters in Environmental Policy from The University of Denver in 2012.
