| Event Description |
The state of Colorado expects to receive more than $5.48 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. These funds are coming to Colorado through more than 140 different programs. Colorado also will be competing for a wide range of competitive grants available through the recovery act, mainly in education, broadband, health information technology and renewable energy.
Cary Kennedy, Colorado State Treasurer, will speak about how stimulus funds will impact Colorado in the next three years; the status of funds and allocation; programs available through the Governor’s Energy Office and the Best Programs for K-12 schools; and specific financing options available through ARRA such as Build America Bonds.
