In this increasingly competitive proposal environment, developing a strong introduction and summary is critical to having your proposal even considered - and is often the only piece the clients read! Gain tips and practice writing short attention-getting samples to demonstrate value to your clients.

Martha Cusick Eddy, Marketing Evolutions - Partner

A founding partner of Marketing Evolutions, LLP, Martha Cusick Eddy helps companies build sustainable customer/client relationships and carve out defensible market positions that offer long-term competitive advantages. In her 17 year career, she has worked with architects, accountants, engineers, and lawyers to research and define their markets, identify powerful market and sales positions, and create business development and marketing initiatives that achieve results.

Martha has held leadership positions with many market leading firms in professional services including Hogan & Hartson, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, BBC Research & Consulting, and RNL Design.

Active in the community, Martha currently serves on the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Marketing Advisory Council, an invitation-only position, and is a member of the DDP’s membership committee. She is on the Denver Health Level One Society Board and is an active member of numerous community and industry organizations.

She was president of the American Marketing Association, Colorado Chapter, and the Rocky Mountain Legal Marketing Association. In 2003, she was named to the Denver Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under Forty Class. In 2009, she was named “Best Marketing Expert” in Law Week Colorado’s “Barrister’s Best” awards. She is also a U.S. patent holder.

Martha earned an M.A. in marketing communications from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Elaine Kanelos, Oz Architecture - Director of Marketing

Elaine Kanelos began her career on Wall Street at the height of the financial services expansion era, where she was part of the team that rolled out ground breaking financial services nation wide for Merrill lynch, handling national and local marketing and sales training for a variety of product groups. After returning to Colorado, she executed the marketing of mutual funds nationally for a variety of public and institutional clients. Her foray into architecture brought her experience to architectural and interior design. Over the last 10 years, Elaine has overseen marketing and business development for OZ Architecture, helping the firm to become one of the top 50 design firms in the U.S.

A Principal at OZ Architecture, she has focused most recently on creating national and international opportunities for the firm. A University of Colorado Boulder alumnus, she is a member of Leadership Denver’s Class of 2001, on the Board of Governors for the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, a Member of ULI’ s national Community Development Council and participated in the startup of ULI’s Urban Plan in Colorado. She was instrumental in creating Denver’s Road Home Meter Project and 2007 winner of SMPS Colorado’s Leonardo Award.
