CommitteesVolunteering is an excellent way to expand your network and develop strong relationships with fellow SMPS Colorado members. Serving on a committee is also a great way to learn or perfect skills and develop leadership skills you may not have an opportunity to do on the job. If you are interested in volunteering with any committee, feel free to contact the committee chair directly for more information, you are also welcome to contact any board member to learn more. CommunicationsThis committee is responsible for raising awareness of SMPS as THE marketing resource for the built environment. Committee duties include overseeing the website and advertisements in media sponsored media and writing press releases to assist in promoting SMPS activities.
Professional Growth ForumFocused on the development of coordinators and newcomers to the A/E/C industry. We provide educational programs targeting the six domains of practice identified by SMPS.
Leadership ForumThe Leadership Forum helps bring together marketing professionals with 5-10 years of experience to build personal knowledge, gain industry awareness, and create a network to encourage career development and advance their firm's position in the marketplace.

Marketing Excellence Awards CommitteeThe SMPS Colorado marketing Excellence Awards Annual Event showcases and honors excellence in marketing. This event takes place annually each May.
MembershipThe Colorado Chapter is currently the 7th largest SMPS chapter in the country. Committee responsibilities include distribution of membership information, prospective member recruiting, and providing information about SMPS to current and future members.
ProgramsProvides informative presentations to support the needs of marketing professionals through networking opportunities, client contact, industry trends, panel discussions and development opportunities. Luncheon programs are held the second Wednesday of the month at the Oxford Hotel, Downtown Denver.
Southern Colorado ProgramsOur events in southern Colorado focus on networking and face-time with clients. Speakers focus on current topics relevant to the A/E/C industry and the southern Colorado marketplace, in particular.
Northern Colorado ProgramsOur events in northern Colorado focus on networking and face-time with clients. Speakers focus on current topics relevant to the A/E/D industry and the northern Colorado marketplace, in particular.
SW Regional Conference LiaisonThe Colorado Chapter is participating in the SW Regional conference, scheduled for May 2010. Christine is our chapter liaison, and additional volunteers are needed.
Construction Design Alliance LiaisonDena Wyatt has the role of coordinating our activities with associated organizations, cross marketing events, and coordinating the reciprocal placement of articles.
