Nominees must be a current or past member of SMPS, and you are welcome to self-nominate. Recipient must live in Colorado and have been part of the A/E/C marketing community for a minimum of 5 years (10 years for the Leonardo Award). All nominations are considered confidential. Leonardo Award is due March 22 2010 Leonardo AwardThe Leonardo Award is the highest award given by SMPS Colorado to an individual that demonstrates a high level of professionalism in the marketing of services for the built environment. This individual must have achieved prominence in the industry and the community; managed and lead internal and external marketing efforts for their firm; demonstrated integrity and character of the highest order; advanced and improved standards of marketing professional services; and performed successfully in a highly visible, results-oriented role. Additionally, the nominee must be a current or past SMPS member with active local chapter participation, and cannot be a member of the current SMPS Colorado executive board. The evaluation of nominees is based on the nominee’s achievements in the SMPS Six Domains of Practice: Marketing Research, Marketing Planning, Client and Business Development, SOQs/Proposals, Promotional Activity, and Information/Resource Management. 2010 Business Developer of the YearThe Business Developer of the year award is given to a business developer recognized by their peers as a stand-out talent in BD, who has achieved significant success in securing professional services work in the A/E/C industry. Due March 26
2010 Marketer of the YearRecipient should be recognized by others as one who has achieved great success in the craft of marketing and communications in the A/E/C industry, and has made significant contributions toward promoting marketing as a profession. Due March 26
2010 Member of the YearThe SMPS Colorado Chapter Member of the Year Award is awarded to the person who has made the greatest difference to the success, reputation, health, or function of the chapter in the past year. This person can be a committee volunteer, committee chair or co-chair, or member of the board, and must be a current member of SMPS. Note that there is no minimum number of years in the A/E/C industry required for Member of the Year.
